Campaign Manager
Scope of Job
The Campaign Manager oversees day to day processes of all campaign planning efforts and manages communications between the client, media plans, and partners. The Campaign Manager will also assist the Director of Media in the execution of campaigns, optimizations, and reporting while managing client communications and expectations.

Specific Role Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a complete understanding of Client's business and marketing objectives.
- Manage media activities for SEM (PPC), Display (CPM), Email Marketing & Social Media campaigns.
- Partner with creative and project management teams to execute creative deliverables including but not limited to, campaign landing pages and banner creative.
- Accountable for maintaining close relationships with both client and media partners.
- Proactively analyze and optimize campaigns, developing strategic recommendations and implementing suggested solutions to fulfill client requirements and campaign goals.
- Monitor campaign implementation and execution including inventory management/forecasting, ad composition review, screen captures, delivery requirements, and monthly reporting.
- Measure and analyze client ROI goals, to ensure we are meeting CPL or CPA goals.
- Develop robust reporting to communicate client performance, insights, and recommendations.
- Utilize available research and research tools to inform and justify strategic approach and rationale.
- Collaborate with marketing team of Strategists and Media Analysts, to motivate and encourage innovation and creativity on all projects.
- Implements process and assists with management of the strategic and tactical execution of all media products for Clients of responsibility.
- Studies demographic data and consumer profiles to identify desired target audiences for online advertising.
Research & Development and Thought Leadership
- Contribute as media thought leader within EMG. Actively engage key stakeholders and strive to build media knowledge across multiple teams within EMG. Connect with stakeholders through proactive teaching and influence our corporate culture through education and validation media and analytics.
- Facilitate knowledge share of campaign management best-practices, client outcome/success, case-studies, webinars, personal research, innovative ideas, corporate ideologies and corporate/client challenges within such media resources as the EMG website, knowledge center, blog, brown bags, wiki, press releases, etc.
- Work closely with respective department, Client Services, Creative and Technology as needed to research and identify external knowledge sharing opportunities such as webinars, white papers, etc.
- Work with Manager to understand each team on a detailed level to further leverage available resources and spark positive collaboration across the agency.
- Work on approved R&D projects as assigned by Manager.
- Work with Manager to identify areas for process improvement and new solutions.
- Research search industry trends and tools and share knowledge both internally and with clients.

Qualifications and Skills

- 3 + years of experience working in the capacity of online marketing campaigns, paid search, or in a related position at an advertising or media agency.
- Multi-functional collaboration; working knowledge of digital marketing, advertising, media, sales, and consumer promotions to build effective partnerships. Team player within marketing group and across marketing teams.
- Basic familiarity with various digital marketing channels, how each performs alone, and how they perform together.
- Adept at evaluating a variety of data sources, platforms and channels including paid media, web, social, email, mobile, etc.
- Must have demonstrated experience providing actionable insights based on comprehensive data analysis helping clients define/achieve measurable goals.
- Experience with campaign creative optimization (e.g., copy and landing page)
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple detail-oriented assignments while keeping an eye on the big picture.
- Proficiency with Adwords & Google Analytics, and experience with developing key performance indicators, reporting and providing user training.
- Must have strong analytical and mathematical skills and the ability to scrutinize data and corresponding metrics in detail.
- Understanding of emerging media, platforms and technologies and impact to clients’ campaigns.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
- Passion for facilitating internal and external customer satisfaction.
- Strong communicator; ability to write and prepare presentations.
- Must have attention to detail and strong follow-through capabilities.
- Must have rapport building skills that reflect a highly ethical demeanor and sincerity.
- Experience in traditional or cross-channel media a plus.
- Experience with SEO, social or other earned media initiatives a plus.
- Experience working in healthcare, higher education, highly regulated (e.g., financial services) or entertainment fields fields is a plus.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other commonly used business applications.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Marketing, Advertising, Mathematics, etc.
Travel Requirements
- • May travel to client sites as needed.
• Minimal, up to 20% both locally and outside of CA.
