EMG Captures ADDY Award

IRVINE, CA – Earthbound Media Group (EMG) is delighted to announce its recent victory at the highly competitive ADDYs for the 2008 awards season. Honored with a Silver ADDY award for its University of La Verne (ULV) “InvoLVed” Virtual Tour and an honorable mention for a series of 6 online commercials for client Kofax Image Products, EMG is thrilled to be recognized once again for its remarkable innovation and creativity by top industry professionals.

Held at Seven Degrees in Laguna Beach, the 2008 ADDY Awards gala showcased the best of the best among the 400 entries submitted by local marketing, PR and advertising agencies, students and independent professionals. Adjudicated by a select panel of judges, EMG won its Silver ADDY in the Interactive Media – Micro & Mini Sites category and an honorable mention in the Interactive Media / Campaign category for the Kofax “Paper In, Perfection Out” series of 6, 30-second online commercials.

The award-winning ULV Virtual Tour was developed by EMG as part of a comprehensive cross-media campaign in partnership with the university’s undergraduate admission office. Featuring advanced flash and other rich media programming, the multilayered and video-based virtual tour provides a “day-in-the-life” look at what it means to be a ULV student.

The online commercials for client Kofax Image Products are 30-second videos that promote the software manufacturer’s patented Virtual ReScan (VRS) software with the help of two recurring characters that rely on the software to solve a variety of absurd office scenarios. The honorable mention ADDY for these commercials is a significant achievement for EMG in that the spots were judged alongside upper-tier advertisements funded by much larger production budgets and because they represent EMG effectively building on the Kofax brand with an innovative comic approach.

Having been awarded a Silver ADDY at the local level, the ULV Virtual Tour now moves on to next round of judging at the district level of ADDY competition.
