EMG One of Day Software’s First US Partners Trained in CQ5

November 20, 2008

IRVINE, CA – Earthbound Media Group (EMG) is pleased to announce being one of the first of Day Software’s U.S. partners to be trained in its much anticipated, newly released Web content management system (WCMS) Communiqué version 5.1 (CQ5). With the November 17, 2008 release of CQ5, EMG is looking forward to putting CQ5 to work, developing customized and powerful CMS applications to create and manage content, serving its clients’ organizational goals and business needs in new and better ways.

“After working with Communiqué for the better part of the past six years of my career, it is a great pleasure to be able to help build out this partnership between Day Software and EMG,” explained EMG director of technology Todd Haser.

After almost three years of anticipation, Day unveiled a sneak preview of CQ5 to its existing customer base at its Global Customer Summit in Basel, Switzerland, October 22-24, 2008. Incorporating the best features from Day’s acclaimed product offerings, including WCM, digital asset management (DAM), social collaboration, portal management and workflow, CQ5 has already been praised for its ease-of-use and ability to enhance internal and external collaboration and communication.

CQ5’s list of new and improved features range from drag-and-drop functionality to a user rights management component, extensive versioning, annotating capabilities and even a collaboration module. Also, in this new version, updated images can easily be updated site-wide, in less than 10 minutes, rather than updated on every page on which they appear.

To date, EMG has collaborated with Day in implementing Communiqué 4 (CQ4) on the back-end of EMG’s recently launched corporate Web site. EMG team members immediately adopted the functionality and intuitive content authoring environment offered via CQ4, ensuring the effortless management and publication of content on-demand. Having invested in understanding and acquiring insight into Day’s state-of-the-art technologies early on after product launch, EMG looks forward to the CQ5 implementation projects its clients have already initiated.
