IRVINE, CALIF. – Strategic marketing agency Earthbound Media Group (EMG) has hired industry veteran Margie Johnson as Regional Vice President. She will be based in the agency’s Irvine, Calif., office.
In her role as Regional VP, Margie coordinates and manages the daily operations of EMG’s Southern California offices and sets the standards for future regional offices in New York and Texas. This includes creating and reviewing the analyses of activities, costs, operations, and forecasts and recommending and implementing the appropriate strategies and best practices in support of corporate goals and objectives. Margie also manages a production team that includes project management, creative, strategy/UX, interactive marketing, technology and marketing communications.
“Margie has all the leadership qualities we needed in a Regional VP,” said EMG’s COO, Blaine Behringer. “Her prior leadership experience, combined with a programming and creative background, made her a perfect fit for EMG.”
Margie joins the agency from Ignited, El Segundo, Calif., where as Vice President, Interactive Production, she most recently led the development of Sony Electronics’ BRAVIA interactive selection kiosk appearing this summer in major electronics retail chains across the country. Her other clients over the years have included Sony Pictures, NBC/Universal, Sony VAIO Latin America, America’s Army, Activision, Princess Cruises, Motorola and many other entertainment and gaming companies.

Prior to Ignited, Margie previously worked for several leading interactive agencies such as Media Revolution and DNA Studio. Her online projects have included many global brands, including Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man 2, Nestle Crunch and Nestle Butterfinger, Universal Studios’ Jurassic Park Institute, Universal Studios Parks and Universal Music.
