LOS ANGELES, CA- On Friday, December 9th Earthbound Media Group (EMG) received word it had won first place for its entry in Lands’ End Love Giving contest for giving back to its local community via food drive and other contributions. More than 600 companies, groups and organizations were submitted for contributing to their respective communities, and EMG’s submission shared stories of how its team members not only give back during the holiday season, but also throughout the year.

“At EMG we are always looking for ways to do our part. Whether it’s creating pro bono marketing solutions for non-profits or volunteering at a local organization, we make it a point to give back in any way we can,” said EMG Managing Partner and Chief Operations Officer Dr. Blaine Behringer.

In its entry, EMG focused on how it took company-wide day off to rally employees to volunteer at Second Harvest Food Banks in LA and Orange counties. Team members contributed by donating and sorting food that went to families in need and supplied homeless shelters in the respective areas. This year, EMG is continuing the tradition and is providing a paid day off for employees to volunteer at a local food bank.

With being named the contest’s first place winner, EMG was granted a monetary reward of $2,000 to go to a charity of EMG’s choice. Behringer shares that selecting an organization to be the recipient of EMG’s contest winnings was an easy choice.

”Best Friends Animal Society (BFAS) is a client of ours, and we get to see the incredible impact they have in animal rescue first hand. EMG passionately adheres to the organization’s mission and determination to rescue pets in need,” Behringer said.

The donation will support the BFAS outreach and animal welfare initiatives across the country and will move the organization forward in fulfilling its mission of creating a world where there are no more homeless pets.
